    Just got off phone with WSB

    I have tried to be patient with website billing, due to all the crap goping on. I have let a month an a half go by without getting a check from them for web 900. That is currently the only thing that I use them for and thank GOD! ( if there is one )

    I called then to try to find out when I might get my next check. The lady on the phone stated that they are not paying ANYONE at this time.

    Reason: Visa and Mastercard have held their funds for 45 to 60 days due to a HUGE ( that is sarcasm ) 1% charge back...

    What did Visa and Master Card think?? As if they do not currently get charge backs from things other than interent. That is the nature of the business. People get caught buying something that the spouse did not want them to have. Or they cant afford the item in the first place, or even worse some asshole webmaster tells the surfer " that it's ok to sign up for a free membership and then cancel before it charges, and if it does charge, then call the CC company and tell them you did not make the charge. "


    I really hope that the other CC companies are making some arrangments to help out the webmasters that have made them rich.



    Wheh, I feel 1oz better. Now to feel 16oz's better.

      It has been 45 to 60 days since most have seen a check so by this rationale we should at least be starting to get our Feb 28 period checks. If the money was coming in, albiet late, we should still be seeing checks every 15 days for the periods that are now more than 60 days behind.

      If what you have been told is correct we should see the Feb 28 checks around about May 25. I hope this is so.

      But if the money is being released on a regular basis we should still be seeing regular checks, albiet late. There shouldn't be huge periods between them.

      But I can still faintly hear some sweet music in the background, the gentle sound of us all being played.

          Everyone is having problems with CC processing but we have done this (as an industry) to ourselves. Like you said, webmasters are comfortable telling their visitors to sign up and cancle the charge. Once they have learned that they can do it again and again (granted their is a good deal of filtering on chargebacks though).

          So what can be done? Educate the surfer? I dont think that will work. Seems hopeless unless Visa and Mastercard can come up with something better than giving us the buisness end of the big CC company stick.

              one of the only companies I will come out and say that about,

              never ever ever ever do business with them,

                  I would say that about Ibill, but not WSB!

                              I was reading about the lawsuit that was just started against master card. Hopefully something in our favor will come from that!!!
