The DUH! factor of this article astounds me frankly. Those that wanted to know already knew that the French and Russian gov'ts had been dealing under the table with Insane for well over a decade and actually engineered much of their military infrastructure. The only puzzling thing is why these POS "news" agencies hadn't brought the story to light sooner rather than later (e.g. after we kicked the shit outta Saddam).
If WMD is all y'all care about then take a chill for a little bit and let our military settle things down to the point that they can start really looking for them without fear of taking a 7.62mm round to the forehead - or worse. You folk that think that magically everything will become clear obviously have never had any kind of training or experience in matters of life and limb - specifically warfare. The forces in Iraq are still in mop-up mode. Once that's complete and they know things are secure THEN, and only THEN, will they get busy with the earnest search of suspected WMD sites.
If you had been paying serious attention to what's happening you'd already know that they've identified several stores of suspected WMD including an ammo store buried under the playground of an elementary school. CNN & Co. are all about ratings and selling advertising - you'll never get the real info from listening/watching their drivel.

The US government never supplied any weapons of war to Iraq at any point in time. American corporations did supply legal as well as illegal materials to Iraq...but no US weapons were ever supllied to Iraq. Most of the materials supplied to Iraq by private enterprise was dual use materials and Iraq chose to convert some of the dual use materials into weapons. When the US government learned about what Iraq was doing with some of the materials, certain materials were banned from sale by private enterprise. Even after the ban some companies still sold proscribed materials and they paid a consequence.
