You don't have to uninstall Kazaa you just have to know how to
set it up. Not that shit thing Kazaalite++ either, that shit gets
banned from nodes by Sharman.
Kazaa 2.1.1 is that last version that your able to manupulate
with a special cd_clint.dll (the spyware engine). Sharman got
wise to the hack and versions after 2.1.1 won't run with a hack
nor will they run without the spyware.
I have a package...
Kazaa 2.1.0
Kazaa 2.1.1 update
cd_clint.dll (a hacked one)
You install Kazaa 2.1.0 then update with the Kazaa 2.1.1
then nuke the orig cd_clint.dll
win98/ME = c:\windows\system\cd_clint.dll
winXP= c:\windows\system32\cd_clint.dll
win2K=c:\winnt\system32\cd_clint.dll
then run Spybot and clean out all the spyware
then put the hacked cd_clint.dll in
c:\program files\kazaa\cd_clint.dll
No adds, no friggin' popups and full access to all the Sharman nodes.
