Ok, now THIS I find hard to believe

I just got pointed to http://www.book-mark.net/galleries.html. I can not believe book-mark would do something like this, but the design looks a little too familiar to me.

I figured the GFY would be the fastest way of clearing this thing our of the way... I checked and double checked to see if it was really Mark's Bookmarks that was clearly stealing my design here... I still find it hard to believe...

Guys, stop this please... I don't mind if people learn from each other, but this is ridiculous!

It wouldn't be reported to me by a surfer it is wasn't public... it's there, I have pages that aren't public (yet), they all sit on my local server, not on my main domain...

I don't mean to insult you (especially since your site is so successful), but your design is shit. I reminds me of my first GeoCities page from 98 (not that my skills have improved any). Why anyone would make a carbon copy of the hun site and make it aqua is beyond me.

Well too fuckin bad. The gals are different, the banners are different, the title is different, the colors are different just because the "look" is the same then thats just how the world works. Look at the new Accord Coupe and The Mercedes CLK, from the back if someone were to see them they could not tell them apart and you dont see them in court.

All the new tgps look the same, I could think of at least 20 urls that look the same. Just because you have used that layout for a long time doesnt mean that you are the soul owner of the "IDEA" you cannot copyright that, otherwise reality tv would not exist nor would anything be innovated.

If you cant stand the heat then get out of the kitchen

This is not a lashing just my since most ppl feel a tendency to suck up as if they have no opinion at all.

Its not a "nice" move from Marks part but no one said the world had to be a fair place.

Private joke maybe? Surfers tend to end up in the strangest places (someone makes a page, posts it on a small message board as a joke, search engines pick it up, surfer finds it).

Asshole remarks like that are always funny. If you agree with someone considered 'big' in terms of traffic or whatever there's always some asshole who has to say it's sucking up. I think it's weird that I get a surfer report about a page that clearly is a little over-inspired from my site. So over-inspired the word 'copied' springs to mind. I don't mind people learning from each other, but this is over the limit. Simple as that.

I would never take a copy/over-inspiration to this board normally, that's done through other ways (lawyers for instance), what I think is amazing here is that it's one of the sites that indeed was (or still is, I don't know) one of the 'big sites'...

Of course, the big sites need healthy competion, that's good, but I don't think it's good if they start copying from each other

But again, I'm puzzled, nothing more, nothing less. Could be a joke, if it is I'd love to hear about it so we can all have a laugh... right now I don't think it's funny yet... maybe I need some more hints, which is why I came here with this link...
