    I'm all booked for cybernet expo in Montreal..

    FUCK - the ONLY direct flight to montreal from winnipeg on the days I wanted (june 4-8) was $770 return (no first class on this plane)- it was about 1/2 that last year. i could go for under $500 but i'd have to take a layover in toronto and I HATE layovers so I'll pay the extra and fly direct.

    oh well - CYBERNET EXPO IS WORTH IT.

    Booked a room at the delta hotel. My apologies to the people running the convention but the room block you guys had doesn't have high speed access in the rooms so I booked a room a couple of floors down that they guarenteed me ( i grilled them on this point on the phone and the guy ABSOLUTLY guarenteed me )that the room I booked which wasn't in the convention block-would have high speed access in it. only $193/night too...

    weird that the CHEAPER rooms would be the ones with high speed access - but I NEED that as dialup would add another 2 hours to my daily updates.

    I'm really looking forward to montreal this year.

              $193? WTF? I assume that is Canadian...We were quoted $300 Canadian per night.

              Got the airfare for about $230 RT but we are flying into NYC and driving up with Nina and Ric.

                                                                          Hmm not much announced yet in the way of parties....Last year I had to skip the show due to work reasons, but had a blast at the afterhour parties!

                                                                          Props go out to all who threw them, particularily the genius who came up with the idea of open-bar go-karting heh ;p
