looks really familiar to me. I had both of my big toes done like that 4 times each. I said fuck that had just and surgery on em, they cut off part of the bone, removed the whole nail bed, and just pulled the skin over and sewed em shut
No more ingrown toe nails. I highly recommend it

I've had both taken out as well. Same ones as you in fact. It's a bitch. It doesn't hurt for like a day but then after all the numbness and shit goes away, bring on the pain.

This is the 3rd time I've had it done, last time my doctor tried to burn the platlets that make the toenails, this time he put some acid on them, hopefully it will solve the problem..if not I probably will do surgery because when they get deeply ingrown it hurts like a bitch!Originally posted by Sosa

I've got a couple, myself. Every few months I break out a knife and nail clippers and dig the bastards out. Gets ugly, sometimes, but at least the pain goes away for a while. One of my big toes has a really nasty one that grows in the skin to the point where a little bit of nail actually pokes out of the skin at the front of the toe.Originally posted by Hardcore J

stop cutting your toe nails in semi-circles and you'll reduce the chances of it happening as often.
Cut 'em straight across and don't let the ends be where it meets skin. Or even a slight "V" indent, but never in semicircles with the outsides of the nail being the shortest part..All the best to you

Man I do that shit to myself every 3 months.. I have a chronic problem with ingrown toenails.. dont know what the fuck the deal is.. I usually take a medical scalpel and a pair of forceps and yank that shit right out.. I cant fuckin walk for like a day after that, and sandles are your best friend for like a week... I went to the doctor and had them do that shit the first time, and never went back.. I would rather inflict the pain on myself than have some motherfucker I cant control doing it.. Try having the whole large toenail pulled without freezing it =)
I accidentally dropped a sword and it split my toenail in half, then lazy me gots it infected and because of the infection the freezing didn't take.
