uuumm strange......don't u guys (canadians) have a US Bank account ? Just deposit there and let it sit till the currency improves. Or your so broke ass that every cheque u get u have to cash it in ASAP ?

The interest in the bank account is less than the rate the USA dollar is devaluing as compared to the Canadian dollar. So if you sit it there it's a loss. The interest rate on a US dollar savings account is like what, maybe 0.5 %Originally posted by webgurl

and yes there is something wrong with sticking your cash in a low interest rate savings account. you're losing out on what could be made if you put that money in equities. there are some solid companies out there that pay a 7% dividend yield. i'll take that over some dinky bank account interest anyday. especially when the greenback might not rebound, meaning an actual loss on your money.Comment

Whats this WE all about...you have nothing to do with the american dollar. I think all people are saying is they hope the US economy rebounds. I'm not gonna slam the US but alot of you guys should really look whats happening here, when your dollar is falling over a cent in one day this means somethings wrong and maybe bush should worry about more than what war to fight. The US economy is dropping like a rock and that effects all our sales.
