A domain does a lot better in google if it has the name in it, but does it matter if its a .org or a .com domain in terms of google

I read once that Google places more weight on .orgs but I havne't noticed any changes in my .org domains over my .coms, .biz, or .nets.
Anybody notice improved listings with .orgs? it's possible that I could just suck
