I have no problems getting galleries on thehun. Well, I do now... lol. But I don't care. I much like free site building better. It lasts longer. I'd still like the ability to get listings there for trying out new sponsors and shit.

I will say this, his thumbs-up is a goldmine of good traffic. Just don't expect loads of sales initially. But do expect loads of SE hits to the fpa/landing-page you link to from the banner (PR doubled during the google dance after being listed at thumbs-up) as well as the traffic that feeds your main site when they click the hyperlinked big pic. On average I get about 2 sales from 2 days of thumbs-up directly. But indirectly I get about 10 in a day from the traffic it has.

Well, If I was a betting man, I would wager that if you just talked to the hun, via email or icq and not here or any other public forum, you could probably work this out. He is a very resonable guy.

There is nothing wrong with cutting to the chase, but IMHO it could be detrimental to your future if not cut the right way.

Im not trying to bash you or anything, just seen this happen time and again, and its definitely up to you to absorb what I say, or ignore everything.

but yeah, I have emailed countless times. SO I just let it all go and never thought nothing more of it. Until I read that he blacklisted me over my 404 page.

Setting up pitfalls to catch people that snoop around your page isn't a problem, but the ideal way to do that is not through the 404. A 404 also comes up when people forget to upload a picture, or put a capital where a low case character should be... things like that.

We check all galleries before they're listed. But we simply lack the time to check each and every individual picture to see if one of 'em doesn't accidentally go to a 404 (although the bot does that periodically). This is the reason why I can not accept domains/hosts with an entrapping 404...

Your domain will NEVER be included with the list I posted here a while back, simply cause you're not cheating on anyone. An entrapping 404 isn't cheating in my eyes, but it's not something I link to.

If you have to sit there watching and worrying about your bandwidth bill on each and every gallery, you're in the wrong business.
I've made thousands and thousands from my listings on The Hun-Some galleries convert extremely well, while some are very disappointing- but that's just the way it goes.
I had a sign-up a couple days ago from a gallery he ran back in January, from his backlog section.
If you think it is worth the 30 bucks you saved on your bandwidth to alienate him and get blacklisted, thats your business.
I'll bet you're sitting home now, re-counting your First Communion money.

Hey The Hun, while you are here and since it is on somewhat of the same topic, I had emailed you numerous times about getting a domain off your blacklist. It is on the blacklist for "redirects 404 to ads".

I even posted a thread about it, which is here:

The crib notes version is that my domain loadedgirls.com was originally set up to redirect hotlinkers and 404s to the main url, loadedgirls.com.

There have NEVER been any popups or dialers or shit like that there. If someone hit a 404 error they would go to the main url, and then they were free to hit the back button and go back to where they came from.

The ONLY way someone would get a 404 is if they tried hotlinking or tried snooping for jpegs in directories. Period.

(I think you must have a lot of surfers on your site that like to view the jpegs by manually typing in the image number instead of clicking on the pic from the gallery, which is why they would get redirected)

After I got the blacklisting message I changed the 404 to this:
http://loadedgirls.com/404.html

As you can see, no ads at all. If you check back on all my gallery submissions that you have listed in the past, you will see that they are still up too. (even the ones you haven't listed)

Can you remove that domain from the blacklist now? The impression I got from the original thread posted here was that you were going to do so, but I still can't submit through that domain.

sigh.... when did I alienate anyone? I made a bad gallery and wanted it removed... it's all overwith and dealt with. This has nothing to do with a gallery anymore and that gallery isnt the reason I was blacklisted. in fact I'm sitting at home right now defending myself from people who think I was insulting thehun and fattening my bottom line with freesites.

Both sites asked about here aren't blacklisted, so there's nothing that keeps you from submitting on my end...

iwantchixx, it's not too easy to insult me... attempts are made often, but I can't see how I could be insulted by anything in this message. I don't think you have anything to worry about. People tend to read the shortest messages in a thread, which sometimes makes 'em jump to strange conclusions ;-)

I once posted a gallery on paid hosting, my paid host emailed me saying I was consuming too much bandwidth (I'd read the terms and conditions and was well within them) and that he'd deleted my site, then he redirected my gallery to his own sponsor!
I emailed the hun explained what had happened and that I'd changed the DNS and as soon as it profligated through the net would go to a default not found page... he emailed me back straight away with something like eh eh eh I've removed the link don't worry I don't blacklist email address's only domains and in this case I won't do that. The paid host did get me banned from all the other big TGPs and hundreds of little ones! You should have just emailed him!

It won't take any of my galleries... I have tried a few times in the past since the initial blacklisting hoping that perhaps you had removed it, but I always get the same message.
