In an industry full of people working 23 hours a day.... how in the world did poker tournaments get so popular?

The REAL reason why was because of a guy name Chris Moneymaker. He entered a party poker tournament for $40 and won his way for a seat in the World Series of Poker 2003. That $10,000 for a seat. He won the WSOP and took home $2,500,000
so that opened the eyes of everyone including media.
it showed that even $1 can get you in a high limit tournament and win big bucks. Last night they reran party poker million 2 and one guy at the finaltable got in with $1. he won all the pre-tourneys to get there and only cost a buck
then the "World Poker Tour" started on the travel channel and is the highest rated show there, funny thing is they have higher ratings on there repetes now then they did when it first primered.
free tournamnet tonight is 2 hours away. good luck everyone.
