I was contacted by a company that owns eroticgiveaways.com

The told me that for $500 a month I could get a text link that would give me 1000-2000 hits a day.

Seemed reasonable. I sent them via UPS overnight a check for $500.

After SEVERAL EMAILS and almost a FULL MONTH later, they finally put my link up.

In the one month that my link was up, I received less than 100 hits. That is NOT 100 hits a day, that is 100 hits for the entire month.

Just thought I would sure my experience with the rest of you.

That same guy contacted me a while back feeding me that same line.... I did a little looking around and found out he didnt have any traffic at all. The site looked bad too. Just for kicks I asked him for proof of his traffic and he couldnt.

These Guys pestered us also. Showed us a 1 day server stat page and promised 75k hits per day of exit traffic. However, when we tried to verify nothing seemed to pass the "Smell Test"

A year or so ago they contacted me to be part of some big video giveaway -- all I had to do was advertise my giving away a 'free' video for whatever postage price I wanted, and I'd get tons and tons of new customers for my video business.

Sha, right.

After one month I sold about a dozen tapes at $8.95 and not a single person returned to purchase anything else. I had his link on 9 sites and if I got 1000 hits in a month, it was a lot.

I was told they had TONS of others participating, but when I checked, it was me and 3 others. When I pulled out, there was only one left.

They recently spammed me to participate and told them I'd happily participate if they signed a contract stating I was guaranteed X amount of traffic per day and if my logs did not reflect that, they'd owe ME money.

Funny, they never emailed back

They called me several months ago tried to sell me thumbnails spots for 750.00 and 1500.00 for text links and promised me all this and that, then i said let me think about it next thing i know this dude was calling every day until I said i just bought traffic from sex.com he sounded pissed then hung up on him! GLAD I DID I fig it was too good to be true.

Now Suing this guy might be expensive, we need only to know his real name. We need to supoena the bank. How do we do that? Do we need to do that before or after filing a small claim lawsuit? Should we do it together? We can get court experience, which is important. We can't avoid court, one day, we'll sue or get sued anyway. But if we try to sue this guy we had something small to practice with.

They have been messaging me for over 2 years now. I have email addresses for all my different domains. the emails they used to contact me are some of my lowest trafficed sites. I cant imagine they want to trade or sell spots to the sites they sent the emails to... I asked them to give me more details about a week ago.. nothing... just "you get a text link on our site"

like someone posted earlier.. who would trade or pay for traffic from a site that looked like that?

We're in deep shit. Not only the traffic is low, it is promoted through SPAM. This asshole is a spammer. The traffic is NOT worthless. It's DANGEROUS.

We got to destroy this guy before they destroy us.

The thing is if we put our email he could recoqnize who he should retaliate too send a lot of spam with our affiliate links. How do we stop that?

I am setting up yahoogroups to kill this guy. How in the earth he survive for 2 years without a website in google talk about it anyway.

They contacte dme a few years ago, like in 1999, I had to join their ring of traffic and receive a TON back. Needless to d\say that after sending them 10000s, we never 'made' it to their lists.

If that's their defense is I would be glad. Because it wouldn't work. The guy explicitly claim that their website has 76K traffic per day and give estimate of 30K-60K per month.

Not to mention they lie about not spamming! They did SPAM. I have never had any relationship with them before they contacted me. I thought this was a mistake, so I ignore that fact. What about you guys? Did you have a relationship with them.

If they live outside US now that would be a tough defense. That means we can't nail him. In Florida people can get life sentences for stealing a box of cigarrete. Let's see if government is serious about this.

The phone number for Hollywood PD. is 954-967-4357. I don't think they have a web site. You can make a report by phoning them. You can also sue in Small Claims Court. If you look on the flpd.org web site under fraud there are instructions on how you file.
