About how much will it cost me in bandwidth charges if i have about 200,000 visits to my gallery a day? And the surfer stays an average of a minute or so. Most tgp's dont accept free hosts right?

yup thats what killed me last month!
Had only one surfer for the whole month, but he opened my gallery and went to sleep .... ran up a hell of a bill!Comment

dude i doubt you get an answer to this question,but it depends on how big you page is,it doesn't matter about how long a surfer is there lol,it depends on a few fators,do you know anything bout BW at all or what is really is
i know of a free host that TGP accepts,but it's gonna cost you

bandwidth equals file size times number of surfers. there is no time element. But you do 200k folks a day you had better have the checkbook out.Comment

Dont pay over 50 cents a gig. You can get reliable respectable adult hosting for that price easily on this board. Keep images under 50k, less than 30-40k if possible. Some TGP's wont list galleries with pics under 20k. Just keep the gallery file size's down and dont overpay for bandwidth, and even if you get hit really hard, you wont be down more than $10-20 in bandwidth if things go crazy for a day or two.Comment

A good benchmark to use for picture galleries is about 1 gig per 10K uniques. (There are a lot of different factors that could make that number different, how well you compress your pics, how many banners on the page etc) but that's a good rough number to use if you're trying to set a budget for bandwidth.sig too bigComment
