I'm not too sure this is a very productive post though.
Hell, I could offer a similar contest and require everyone to make minimum of 5 guesses, maximum of 15, each guess in an individual reply. I think Lensman / admins would get pissed.

about 350 of them I'd say... they're probably avoiding each other there in the middle of the jar creating lots of empty space decreasing the # of them which I'd normally guess was about 500.
but these are special circumstances, so 350.
