Paysites do not make any money.

In December of 2002 I shifted my focus from shooting content for others to shooting it for my own paysites. I have always been a stats junkie and my home page is set to Epoch so that I am reminded to review the stats often.

I just took a look back at the monthly figures since December and even though I see the numbers every day, I was still shocked at what I saw.

For any of you who are considering starting your own paysites, I highly suggest you go flip burgers instead. There is no money or future in this business.

Now I am going to go cry myself to sleep so that I am rested well enough to decided on what options I want to order on my new car.

Its a shame you make so little with your paysite that u are only getting one of those things and not two,

If you are lucky you can maybe get your 2nd in June.

Better get your act together though.

I already have a profession as a RN. I dont expect making a living with my site.. I don't expect to be a milionnaire... But If It pay a few bills here and there and the money rolls hey that would be cool...

Never even thought I would have my own web biz... It's not even a gamble... Got nothing to loose but to try it...

I'm optimistic...Its for fun..... Yes it is hard work... But I love doing shoots... I hate editing lolol. My head is fucken spinning with all that i am learning...
When and if it becomes a pain in the ass and no more fun I will simply turn the page and say "Hey one more experience in my lauguage becasue all that I am learning is not lost knowledge it will follow me all my life.

That buisness is hard even for people with the knowledge and the technology... Does it take luck as well? Good contacts and a big ballet when you start? Always wondered that...

AAron, now is the best time to have a pay site. In case you have not noticed, but the price for content, which is one of the biggest costs you have when owning a paysite, has never been cheaper. It does indicate something is amis in this biz but the smart business man takes advantage of this when it happens. So don't give up yet.
