The law doesn't say anything about jail time for spamming. The law says that if you spam with forged headers or use hacked boxes, or if you make software that does the aforementioned, or if you employ a minor to do the aforementioned things, you can go to jail.

As long as you're not hiding who you are, you're free to spam to your hearts content.

almost world wide, and not just the USA. How in the heck are they going to enforce this law? Just like no online
gambling? Wait until the parents see there kids getting more porn spam. The dip shits have caused them self's more
trouble. Saw on the news today that spam will increase by like triple or more with a few months.
No way NO how can the US Gov. stop spam NO fucking way.

They won't even make a tiny dent in it.

The "pornography" part of the bill signed into law today had to do with children being "in" the pornography (i.e. performers) not children looking at pornography.

I read a article that i got on allofem.net, about a guy who says that he is a spammer and is very open about it. He said that he buys lists, most of which are harvested, and uses them to spam. He is selling some type of program that does pc spying. like keyboard strokes.

Anyway his product is 39.99$ and he says that he sells 50 + a day. He has like 19 computers sending out 90,000 e-mails per hour. And is bringing in 700,000 per year.

They also said that they have the names and locations of the top 180 spammers in the world.

The funnything about that is, the people aol, msn and yahoo are going after are not on that list. Why?? Well most of those 180 are not selling PORN!!!

AOL was quoted as saying that they will put a stop to spam and VILE PORN!

Exactly. Or they could go straight to the credit card processors and phone companies and the banks that finance them. Doesn't do any good to spam if they put a stop on your paychecks.
