Hahaha, I know exactly what you are talking about. I was with a friend of mine the other day when he was looking at new phones. The salesman asked if I would be interested in a new phone too. My reply was "Why? This phone does everything I need". It wasn't until I was walking out the door that I realized that my father says the same thing about his VHS VCR when we try to talk him into a DVD player. It suddenly clicked with me...I am OLD!

I heard a guy using a PDA flat panel phone in a store yesterday. Pretty cool little device. Reception was crystal clear and he had it on speaker phone mode.

i watch a collegue of mine use one of thos pda's (or whatever it is) and he can work on servers, type stuff, check and send email. i mean this thing has a keyboard 1/2 the size of a floppy! it's insane and i think, laptops were a big step for me, why in the world would i use something so small (and i have a hard time typing on a laptop).

in addtion, my friend has one of those small fuji laptops and trying to work on that is like trying to dig for the hope diamond!

In a couple of years pda's, cameras, and phones will merge only makes sense, why carry around 3 things when you can carry around one

you're right. i just believe that everything should be kept seperate. when i'm away from this pc, i don't want to hear ding, ding, you have mail. same when i'm away from the phone. i certainly dont want to hear it ring and if it does and i'm not in the mood to answer it, i don't want to.

with all meshed into one, i would feel responsible to answer the phone, check my mail, yadda..yadda...yadda.
