Maybe its just the way this is being reported but it makes little sense.

He asked the older son to see what was moving in the woods. The older son couldnt see what it was (obviously the younger son) so he handed the gun back to his dad (not wanting to shoot at something he cant see) so the dad fires blindly in the area of the movement???
What a fucking idiot. I feel bad for the family that the father was such an ass.
