is there still money to be made in phone sex lines?
Not like back then. At the time AT&T only issued 100 900 numbers for the entire US and we had 2 of those. And only a handful were allowed to have phone sex. We had a monopoly for about 1 year. High Society Magazine had 2 and there were a couple other players.
It was like being Microsoft. No competition at all.

exactly the point many dont get, people think if you got nothing to hide you should not be bothered by people going thru your private business.
Many legit people avoid many things because they hate being looked at like some terror suspect

since the both of you are in this thread (KRL, EscortBiz) let me ask a question i've had for awhile. how long did it take for you to start gaining momentum in your careers(doesn't have to be adult)? as of right now i have at least 10 ideas that i've researched and can't believe that no one has come up with(small enough not to attract attention bug large enough to return a nice profit) and not all of them are adult related. actually only 3 out of the 10 are adult related. another question, have you all ever had one of your ideas that you never told anyone stolen from you, or conceived by someone else before you got a chance to do it?

I was working on a project alone writing a plan for myself and bamm I come across a press release of a company doing the same EXACT thing.
It happens, sometimes I feel my email and phones are bugged, I leanred the hardway if ya got an idea that makes sense do what it takes to get some sort of version of it up ASAP, it will A) tell you if you should continue B) deter some who might think of doing the same (not all but some)
Its not how many ideas you have its how many you make happen, the more you make happen the closer you are to a successful one.
Last bit not least dont be scared to cut your losses, you tried somethin, its not making sense or money and you tried tweaking etc. just scrap it and move on, I see to many people falling in love with ventures and spending years and years over bullshit.
Left half way through Penn State to move to California at age 20.
Work for companies to learn corporate business inside out. Had some of my own small things on the side.
At 26 stopped working for corps. and went out on my own. Took about 4 years to get into the bigger leagues.
Had a couple challenging years of course too. Don't think just cause you hit it you're there for good. People rip you off when you have money, deals go south that you invest in, markets dive, etc.
Right around 31, I had everything I needed to know to always do well, even during the fuckup years. One of the secrets is watch your money like a hawk. Sign all the checks yourself. Keep a tight handle on expenses as well.
very sound advice from the both of you which i appreciate. some of that actually sounds like advice an uncle of mine(my mentor) has told me over and over, especially about cutting your losses and watching your money. he actually told me about the shake up with the search engine world months before it actually happen but he put it in busines sense instead of tech talk(he didn't use search engines, he said the control of information). odd considering the fact that he can't operate the computers at his clinic
any how learning the basics is something that i tried to skip in this industry. i honestly believed that if i threw some gallries up i'd make plenty of money, not realizing that this is an actualy industry and should be treated accordingly. granted i made money doing nothing but not learning the basics really set me back. learning now though and after reading 10 different pages on the same information just worded differently is finally starting to pay off (my foundation is starting to form) glad i stayed up late tonight

there is a cycle everyone goes thru before they hit somethin that makes them money, some just give up but those who dont never regret it.
This has nothing to do with terror anymore. This is about money and power. The powers that be think the following:
We need to spend as much money on our buddies as possible before getting ousted.
We need excuses to spend as much money on our buddies as possible before getting ousted.
We need as many gimicks as possible to get us reelected so we can have another four years of spending as much money on our buddies as possible.
Seriously, think about it. The war is tapering down. The 87 billion dollars is as good as spent. What next? Let's open a colony on the moon! That will cost a bundle. And our buddies will kick that money back soon enough.

i feel the same way. for example this proposed device that is to be installed on commercial jets that will block surface to air missles. i forget how much it was going to cost to equip each plan with this device that has never been tested but i just thought to myself "another one of the current admins buddies is rich." then a month later the guy gets busted for trying sale one of the damn surface to air launchers.
its amazing the amount of money you can earn for yourself and your friends when you run a consumer based economy.
i honestly can't come up with a valid reason why people spend millions of dollars on a job that only pays 250k per year. could rose perot really have done that bad of a job running this business we call america?

Also, starting soon you have to give up your date of birth when buying airline tickets.
