I have I crisis which I am trying to resolve at the moment:
On Thursday, April 10th I was leaving to start a tour with my band (www.dickdelicious.com) a few hours before I left I went to do some work on my sites when I couldn?t get on the server. I called my hosting company and they told me that my server had been hacked and all of my sites have been destroyed. The timing on this could not have been worse.
The webhost was supposed to be running monthly backups, but had failed to do so, and there is A LOT of my stuff that was done either on Homsite or the pages had been generated by script. It?s a lot their fault for not providing adequate protection / backups and I am also partially to blame for not backing up enough on my end.
I will be working around the clock to get my sites back online, and if we?ve done some type of link trade that you don?t see on there anymore ? it?s not because I?ve screwed you ? it?s because of this issue and I will get your link back up ASAP!
What really sux is I was just really starting to make some serious bank when this shit hit...FUCK!
Everyone submits sites or has listings - I am attempting to salvage the latest versions of my pages from the Google cache and my local files. There is a stong possibility that I may (at some point) restart the whole fucking project (2 years of work)
I am attempting to get traffic back quicly as posssible, and to add insult to injury - I did great on this last google update - SO THIS REALLY SUX. Plus, I will be one of the few webmasters that will reveal what I acually earn per day - which is somewhere between 300-400 dallars. 250 on a low and 500 on a high. Multiply that by 12 days of downtime and you see my problem.
