I am the biggest dog lover in the world and if I cought someone doing that to one of mine I can honestly I would beat them to death and slowly. Anyone who knows me well knows that is a the truth.
However, try to keep in mind that these are not pets to these people, they're food. I have slughtered cows, horses and pigs and believe me it's not done much more humanely. I don't think they can be considered evil if all they are doing is processing food items, which is all the animals are to them.
