i havent had alligator. the best meat ive ever had would be kangaroo, its really rich and if cooked properly, beats anything else in my opinion. being in australia makes it easy to get of course, i dont know if you could get it anywhere elseComment

Alligator is far from gamey. They serve it at a lot of places around here. I had some fried alligator tail last weekend as a matter of fact. It's good stuff.

The taste is very similar to chicken...the texture, is more like lobster.
