Portland Earthquake?

WTF was that? My entire house just shook one time real fast. Kinda like somebody hit the foundation with a big ass sledge hammer. I literally saw the entire room get jared.

Weird as fuck.

I went ouside to see if sombody drove their car into my place or something.

3.1 about 10 miles north west of Portland. Just a little local one, but very shallow. Preliminary depth is 10K.

We lost power and phone, and all the books and shit are on the floor here.

Has anyone heard about the overdue 9 magnitude earthquake thats predicted? Thats supposed to happen 200 miles off the Washington coast. That would completely flatten every structure in the Puget Sound region and severe damage in Portland and B.C.

It must have been shallow for such a microquake (scientists term, not mine). Really suprised it knocked out power and everything.
We've been having a lot between 2-3 on richter scale in Washington State over the last year. I never feel them.

But I'll never forget the 6.2 Seattle had back in february of 2001.
Had JUST gotten out of bed and my naked bod was being tossed from one side of the hall to the other side as I was trying to get down it (and my cat goes screaming by me heading for the closet). Then I realized I should wear SOMETHING as I was trying to get outside. Got my robe and then as I was about to open my door (on top floor of apt building at the time), thought to myself "PLEASE let the stairs still be there!" I just KNEW they had to be gone. I've never been hit by 3 distinct waves that lasted 45 seconds like that quake did. Man..scariest shit one can experience.
