Top Bucks - Did you sell our email accounts to Swoit?

I think Top Bucks did it but of course I can only guess. I'm narrowing this shit down as best I can and so far all signs point to them. I've talked to total newbies with few accounts and compared them to mine and the one that keeps coming up as being in common is Top Bucks (and One Verify which is owned by Top Bucks).

So I'll ask them point blank - Did you or any of your companies sell our email addresses to Swoit or to anybody else? Yes or no. I'm not accusing, I'm asking. But I do want an answer.

that makes sense.... since I never got a Swoit spam, and I've also never joined the Topbucks program, hence.... no email addy to sell.

im guessing the same.

the only thing between the 2 emails i got hit on was one was a TopBucks email, the other ONEVERIFY.

Any idea why people are getting spams to addresses that they used at Top Bucks and One Verify? (Apparently they used them only at those two places, you never can tell for sure I guess.)

Or, instead of being sold, is it possible that they were traded to Swoit (or a list broker)? Then they wouldn't have technically been sold but given up nonetheless.

I'm just trying to clarify that you had *nothing* to do with this and I hope that is the case.

The email address that I have with TopBucks and OneVerify was not the one that I received the spam too. I'm still making sure but I received the spam to an email address that only 3 sponsors have ever had and I can guess which one did it but I just wanted to make sure first.

ARS is under scrutiny as well and since just about everyone has an ARS account, it needs looking into. I would hope that they didn't do it and I really have my doubts that it was them. Sooner or later it will come out. It could have been a third party billing company for all we know, I wouldn't put it past *any* of them to do such a thing.

ARS is still not the one that I was thinking that it was, because my emails that I have used with ARS didn't get hit at all. However it's a big on that's been around a long time.

Got 2 spams from swoit, one to my adult e-mail and the second one went to my non adult site e-mail. The only companies that have my mainstream e-mail are casino affiliates and content lotto.

Don't have any accounts with ARS, Topbucks or Oneverify.

Topbucks does NOT sell webmaster information to other companies. We uphold the highest level of confidentiality and privacy to any of our webmasters' information.

We've received many of those Swoit spams too, and we don't like it either.

when i joined some porn sites (as a user) ibill and ccbill both seemed to have sold off my email address at the same time (i use unique aliases for every single site, only the CVS would have had access to all of them) - it was not spam coming from the pornsites themselves.

pretty shitty.

php/mysql guru. hosting, coding, all that jazz.

yeah, it would be a very short term gain...and as Kevin pointed out, we value our webmasters privacy almost as much as they would themselves...it is simply an intangible loss that we would never incur for a short term gain of a few bucks
