    U.S. begins N.Korea nuclear talks

    "BEIJING (Reuters) - U.S. Assistant Secretary of State James Kelly has sat down for talks with North Korea aimed at resolving a standoff over Pyongyang's suspected nuclear weapons programme, but few expect a breakthrough.

    With North Korean negotiator Li Gun not considered senior enough to cut deals, diplomats said the first formal face-off between Washington and Pyongyang since the crisis began last October was likely to yield only plans for more talks. "

          chances for US Army being whipped in N.Korea are too high. it won't go far from talks. don't forget than China is on N.Korea's side and Russia is selling them arms (yep, USA are selling arms to S.Korea -- for those who'll start yelling soon -- it's normal)

                                          I was just looking at the oxford world atlas yesterday, and thinking about getting a huge satellite map of the world.

                                          For traditional maps the <b>best</b> place I've seen is the UC Berkeley Map Room annual sale. It's generally on October 22nd, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m, and has maps you just can't buy; special purpose stuff you would expect to see in a museum; unique maps that cost thousands (or more) to make, but they get rid of for $10-50.
