Old English? That term is still in wide use in the UK. I guess you guys use the term bi-weekly - well in the UK we use fortnightly.

Old English? lol? The term is used here also.

By the way, did you know that the average English speaking person uses only about 100 different words a day when speaking? In fact, did you know that (at least in Australia - and most likely in the US also) most people technically don't have a large enough vocabulary to even claim they know how to speak English fluently?

I did not know it was still in use in britania, but It IS old english.

It originally meant "fourteen nights". Besides, the word fort with the meaning "stronghold" did not arise in English until the 14th century, while fortnight is Old English.

I think his point is that, simply because the word is old, does not make it irrelevent or gay. It's a language, not a fucking trend.

                                      Yes. ;)

Actually, it just suprises me how ignorant (not necessarily you) so many people are when it comes to their own language. I have met Europeans (who come from non-English speaking countries) who can speak English 3 or 4 times better than 90% of my countrymen. Pretty bad really.

Language and communication are two different things. AS long as somone can communicate ideas I don't thinks its important how proper their english is. The reason people who dont grow up using english often become better at it is due to the time they put into studing and learning the structure of the language. When you grow up speaking a language you learn from example and over time language morphs into different dialects... and why the hell am I rambling im supposed to be working.

"bi-weekly" sounds like some weekly bisexual magazine that discusses the latest techniques to pound ass and pussy at the same time.

I remember asking after a magazine that comes out every two months at the newsagents and I said it's "bi monthly" and I so got a raised eyebrow look from the person who'd just got in line next to me.

I have to admit that I haven't heard someone use the term "fortnightly" in a coon's age. I would necessarily call it "old" english but maybe classic use of english. Just not the jive we turkeys speak these days (would that be old slang? hahaha).
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

wtf is a "coon's age"? Isn't Coon racist against Cameroonian people - it used to be used in the UK as a variation of "******", which I don't think anyone there uses any more either.

Tis thread is really cracking me up. It sounds like a conference call I did with one of our German merchants today.

These are the first clicks ive sent to the program at all. Its higly unlikely that somone clicked my ad on google/iwon/or websearch then did a new search on earthlink and also clicked my adwords add.

The only person whos clicked the ad prior to the adwords campaign is me.

I'm not accusing you of anything, I'm just not gonna be sending any more adwords traffic.

We did have some issues with the stats last night, I got up this morning to a pretty mess. But Darren said that it was fixed and compensated for.
