    Models flakier and less receptive?

    Wonder why?

    girl's body found - last told roommate she was "going to meet with a photographer"

    between that, stories like the "BumFucks" thing, and the legit companies who produce some pretty edgy shit, it's a wonder any girls show for a shoot.

      btw, a girl who wanted to model told me about this story...

      she had been cautious and postponed, then finally told me why she was having major second thoughts.

      the girl they just found was missing for a few weeks and it got some decent coverage in So. Cal.

              you're not dealing with normal girls here. they create most of their own problems. even when you're talking about Extreme Associates, Anabolic/Diabolic, none of these girls are forced to do anything, nobody's locking doors on them, threatening them. they can say 'no!'.

              They have no problem flaking on good guy shooters, costing many people their paydays - meaning they know how to say 'no'.

                  the girl went to my Cosmetology School. She did make-up, as well as model...all the teachers were freaking out when the story broke.

                                  heh. this problem is ongoing.

                                  personally, I hate having to negotiate logistics with a model--some want to see the cash before a shoot, some want to bring a friend, some want to book a test shoot and maybe do more, some want ice cream and a bowl of green m&m's standing by.

                                  even if you are shooting in a business park, some girls are just overly skeptical.

                                  meanwhile, others will show up blindly to meet you alone at a hotel. a few have met me at hotels for shoots, and my advice at the end is to NEVER do that again.

                                  most go off their instinct, and if they ask the right questions, they should be okay.

                                  I tell most girls to mention they are bringing someone, whether they are or not. If a photographer has trouble with it, aside from the logistics of the other person being in the same room for the actual shooting, it can be a bad sign.

                                          When setting up interviews I always tell the girls to bring a boyfriend / husband / friend. I'm always amazed by the amount of girls that show up alone.
