ugh yeah, that's the feedback I've gotten from my swedish friend and I'm a bit worried about moving back home... to move my biz home only to not be able to deposit my checks is scary... I thought with EU and internet that sweden would have become a bit more 'international' - guess that was the wrong assumption uh?

Well it's costless to send money through wire in all EU now atleast.
But really. No one uses checks anymore except in US maybe.
I remember my mom used checks to shop with in the 80ies last time. I've never used them in everyday life.
