    Att: Svenska WebmÄstare !!!

    Jag ska kanske flytta hem till Sverige (Stockholm) och har hört att det kan vara knepigt att lösa in utländska checkar... så kan någon föreslå en bank som inte har problem med det (eller har alla banker problem med utlänska checkar??) Jag är egen företagare sa det kanske ar enklare än att forsoka lösa in utländska checkar som privat person?
    Jag har ett par sponsorer som betalar via paypal - jag antar att det är enklare, men kan någon som har erfarenhet med paypal bekräfta det?

                                          Regarding paypal I get my money 3-5 days after I request them from paypal in my bank account (Nordea Denmark).
                                          About the checks I don´t have problems cashing them in Denmark but if haven´t had an account in the bank for a couple of months you might have problems unless you have your savings there.

                                          But I am sure there will be some swedes by soon to answer you

                                              A friend in sweden (not a webmaster though) were telling me about the hassels and the enormous costs of depositing foreign checks. I figured paypal would work but most sponsors don't offer that option

                                                  I have Nordea and they got tired of me going to their office every week and cashing in the checks. So the manager told me to send them by mail every week. I now mail them and they'll cash them for me.

                                                  Take 1 week to get the money and costs 120kr per check

                                                      A week for deposit is fine, but 120kr per check is insane, especially since many sponsors don't let you set a higher min. payout.

                                                              Nordea is old Nordbanken. I have Nordea to and it´s no problems. The only problem is that they take 120 kronor per check.

                                                              I hope you earn much because it´s not a good idea to get small checks...

                                                                  Hey Kam a lot of the sponsors are willing to pay you via paypal even though they don't list it. You just have to contact them and explain your situation and ask if they will PayPal you, many of them will.

                                                                      Have both personal and business and works well with either.
                                                                      Yes it's 120kr per check, not much todo. Maybe change bank but i think every bank is quite tight with foreign checks. No swedish bank really wants to handle those anymore. It's quite obsolete around here

                                                                      I'm happy they take em at all. First i had real troubles with them. Had to fill in alot papers every visit at the bank. Took like 30mins and explain where i got the money from and why the sender can't send wire or even paypal the bank suggested

                                                                                      ugh yeah, that's the feedback I've gotten from my swedish friend and I'm a bit worried about moving back home... to move my biz home only to not be able to deposit my checks is scary... I thought with EU and internet that sweden would have become a bit more 'international' - guess that was the wrong assumption uh?

                                                                                              Why can't you keep a US bank account open and have your checks wired by sponsors directly into it? I mean you can pretty much use VISA or Mastercard everywhere, so get a check card. That's what I was going to do when I left the country. And you may well be able to access your chosen bank via online banking. Hope you're feeling better and not so sick anymore too.

                                                                                                  Well it's costless to send money through wire in all EU now atleast.

                                                                                                  But really. No one uses checks anymore except in US maybe.

                                                                                                  I remember my mom used checks to shop with in the 80ies last time. I've never used them in everyday life.

Weird that theres such a huge difference when it's the same bank ?

                                                                                                                  wire costs alot too, and having my biz in one country and live in another seems like too much of a hassle just for checks sake... hmmm most sponsors don't offer wiring in their affiliate area... again, I haven't looked into this since I haven't needed it until now lol

                                                                                                                                      I rarely do checks anymore I normally opt for wires, paypal or epassporte easiest and fastest way to do it.
                                                                                                                                      Most sponsors will wire you if you opt. for a minimum payout of $1000-2000.

                                                                                                                                          Checks is a hassle with most Swedish banks, Handelsbanken told me go fuck yourself when they found out what the checks where for (they searched google for the company name to find out what their biz was, i didn't say a word)... All Swedish banks has a policy not to work with adult related companies, I checked. There is however a little workaround: Swedish law prevents them from rejecting you unless they are able to prove that there is a high probability that you or your transactions are involved in some kind of illegal activities. So if you are clean they will not be able to reject you as a cutomer. But when it comes to checks there is a problem, the banks can choose to send checks to a collecting service, that will cost you about 1000 SEK ($140) for each check and take up to 90 days to get the cash. There is no problem with wires or paypal however. I'm staying away from checks cause of the hassle.

But the problem I will run into is that I have signed up with so many sponsors and I'm getting a ton of checks each month.                                                                                                                                                                       Usually better to send more traffic to a couple of sponsors anyway. And don't forget to merge all CCbill accounts and all ibill accounts, if you haven't done it already, that might save some checks.

But i have alot other businesses with them so i tell them it's for a payment for a bla bla bla.

                                                                                                                                                                          But i know that THEY know what it's about. As some sponsors ain't that anonymous with their company names and urls on the checks.

Dom tar oftast bara 75 kronor (ibland 75 kr per check, ibland 75 kr oberoende av hur många checkar du löser in)... Jag har hursomhelst aldrig haft problem med att lösa in checkar i Sverige.

                                                                                                                                                                                                  Dem har gått ut med info om det också - inga problem.

                                                                                                                                                                                                  Var problem i början när man visste mer än dem om det.
                                                                                                                                                                                                  Hävdade att dem var tvungna att skicka på inkasso och
                                                                                                                                                                                                  då kostar de ca 500 kr. Men det gäller nu bara om det finns
                                                                                                                                                                                                  typ ett tredje land inblandat. Typ företag, bank, du och alla
                                                                                                                                                                                                  i olika länder, eller nåt sånt.... OVANLIGT !!
