Tiny Little Paysite Tip

In my twice monthly quest to prove to myself that my brain isn't complete mush, I present to thee, a silly little trick to jump your conversion rates:

I'm always going on about "portable elements" and "swappable parts" in tour designs. The name of the game with maximizing conversions is playing with the elements of your tour one at a time and measuring the results of each change. A great simple example of this is the language you use for your join button. Try using:

Instant Access
Instant Trial Access
Get Password
Join Now
Subscribe
Join the Club

Try these out and compare results. You might find that one brings you up another 1:25 from where you were.

Then the language you use on your join page itself can have a HUGE effect. We'll get to that in two weeks when I have more brain cells ammassed. =]

Good point...I am trying out "sign up" instead of my usual "join now"

Just measure you results after a few days and then try something else. I'm finding "Get Password" works great on sites that get lots of cheese traffic. More old school traffic responds to "Instant Access" well. There's always exceptions though.
