    If we are....

born to only eventually die, then what is the importance of everything in between? truly think about this cause no one knows what happens after you are permanently asleep.....

food for thought on a sunday night.

Supposedly.. what you do 'in between' will determine what you do once you're permanently asleep...

The importance is to live. Life is the celebration. Don't question it so much that you forget to live it

no argument on that however, we are all so consumed by money, success and power that celebration is more often overlooked. i once had a discussion with a friend that lead me to a realization that happiness is what you feel for that momemt (how ever long the moment may last for an individual...my opinion). of couse i was disagreed with but if you really think about it, how long are you happy with that new car? you celebrate the fact that you bought it but how long before it's just another fixture in your life? the same can be said about everything from a relationship to buying a jar of jelly and everything in between monetary and non monetary alike! if we are all meant to celebrate life often, then i would think that surfers in Baja have it the best for they are relaxed, content and constantly celebrating life and nature.

            just my

Happiness depends entirely on your perspective too. I am content every single day, I have everything I could ever need most of what I want, and I enjoy my kids, my work, and my life in general. I'm not rich, but I have a roof over my head. Sure I'd love more, but I think a huge part of life is enjoying what you have when you have it.. So in a way you are right

The planetarium at the museum of natural history in NYC will put life in perspective for you. In summary, no matter how good you feel about yourself, you will walk away feeling insignificant.

you have more in your life that would give you more moments of happiness! that is a treasure and i am sure you hold onto it. have you ever asked yourself however, what it's all for? when i ask that, i mean what is the end result.

an excerpt from an edgar allen poe poem stated that sleep is just little slices of death (not quoted verbatim) and if that is true, then do our dreams show what will happen after we are gone or is it an indication of what we should be doing while we are here?

you can take that to another extreme and read Freud whereas he states that dreams are just ourselves sexually oppressed.....(again not quoted verbatim).

sorry my brain is on overload tonight
