i've played guitar/drums nearly all my life. and one thing you'll come to learn that music is relative. there is no RIGHT or WRONG, there is only preferences.
however, if you look at rap as a whole, from a broad perspective, you will find that if you compare it to other genres such as alternative, heavy metal, you'll see that the rap fans are generally a bit more violent, shallow, materialistic, etc etc... most of which are these kids who would like to see themselves portrayed in a sense of being "hard" / "badass".
now obviously this is because most of rap is based around living a lifestyle usually depicted with sex, drugs, gangs, etc etc... (correct me if i'm wrong if that isn't what the majority is about)
so if i were to change anything about the whole music scene, it'd be rap. sure, use the same "music" but lets try to switch up the lyrics a bit cause it all does is breed a bunch of lame fucking followers who think they're something they aren't.
boohoo, you had a hard life eh rapper? well instead of promoting negative values perhaps you'd be smarter to try and gain from your experiences and spread positivity rather than creating more problems you've encountered early on.
