and mistakes do happen, and we will always have "some" downtime.
but my advice is to monitor your own servers 24/7 and not rely on anyone else to tell you "you are out of business".
serversalive is pretty good software, someone here put the link up.
the free version will monitor 10 domains. all webmasters should use it.
if you run paysites, and a few disgruntled members can't get their content and want to charge back their visa because of some glitch at your host, things can south in a hurry.
paysite member areas MUST stay up these days.
