    DSL Upload Cap Removal

    Is there a way to remove this shitty 250 kbps upload cap on bellsouth DSL? This shit's getting real old...

      Don't bellsouth offer different plans for DSL with more upload speeds?

                  Dude, the upload is determined by equipment at the phone company's CO. Not like a cable box where you can fuck with DocSIS, with DSl you get what you get.

                      Yeah, I know what you mean. In Australia the prices for bandwidth are a joke.

                      This is the shit I live with:
                      OptusNet Cable $79 AUD ($48US) $month for 3GB traffic, this counts for inbound and outbound traffic and also emails, pretty much anything. So if someone pings me, that data is taken off my 3GB (another reason to switch the connection off at night).

                      Plans:
                      3GB = $79 AUD ($48 US)
                      5GB = $155 AUD ($95 US)
                      10GB = $306 AUD ($188 US)

                              Sure you can do it but once they notice you'll lose your DSL and probably get busted for theft of service. Good luck.

                                      Don't do it.

                                      I've done it in the past on a few ISP's, and I've gotten warnings and removals without warning.
