Well, maybe a reason why there are some webmasters who aren't attractive is because they are paying more attention to business, and not so much to appearance?
Sorta like the mad scientist thing. You're so engrossed in making money that appearance / family / dog / haircut / going to the bathroom in a toilet or anything else takes a backseat to the primary goal of making serious bling.
