My family and friends are not in this business and most of them have outside of the home jobs and get their paychecks at the end of the week.

Sorry but you are silly. You posted on this bb because you wanted to get paid. Hopes it works out for you and your hubby but you should really stay out of his business unless he was behind this post.

Yes, but a wife, husband, girlfriend or whatever shouldn?t post on the behalf of her/his partner here. Apparently, the hubby knew what he was doing and spent money that he could not afford.

No company should treat there staff like that.
Now if it's happened before then what have you learned from it to try and prevent it in the future.
It's happening again to him, what are this companies reasons for not paying him or not giving him money to spend in vegas.
Why would your husband spend personal money in Vegas when he knows his family is at home needing money?
New job or not it's not his responsability to entertain clients with personal money, the company should have given him that cash money to entertain clients.
Next time make a note, that he gets the money first from the company and plans the trip so he's not outta pocket.

Why are they paying in halfs, have they no money not enough time to pay.....
They know it's been xmas and new year and for us we make sure everyone has there money early and with bonus so the families can have a great xmas and new year.

I suggest he puts his foot down and says look, pay me what i'm due or i'm leaving.
If they respect him and his work enough they will not want to see him go as he will be to valuble for the company.
You can't let people or companies treat you like that, stand up for yourself, they are not playing fair.

Maybe he should start going in work late and finish early, see how they like it when he fucks with there time and money, differant when the shoes is on the other foot!!!!!

Sounds to me that he could afford it with the money that is owed.
Men tend to be alot more loyal to their bosses and take abuse. Women tend to think a bit more clearer sometimes.

It really sucks to be in this position. My two cents - It's up to him to out the company if that is going to happen. Your relationship could be on the line! My sig other knows she can log on to any of ten computers here and log on as me at GFY. She also knows not to post, even though there have been some situations that pissed her off - I know you understand what I mean.

Outing that company may or may not be smart? That's more up to your other half. He owes it to you to resolve it in some way. It may be best to move on. Can't say without the details.

Putting on a show in Vegas is part of this biz. If affilates and others think a company is hurting, that could sink that biz.

To sum it up, It's his job, let him play the cards is my advice. If my sig other posted here (she's not in the biz), I'd for sure be pissed.

Fortunately my husband was able to afford it.

He does enough work on the side that we had a great christmas without him being paid. He was told he'd be paid weekly, then when we expected a check or paypal from the company he got the story that they paid monthly.

When it came time for Vegas he was told that the money was wired to his account from out of the country, We found out this has not happened yet.

The company that has done this knew my husband was screwed around before and they also knew he wasn't going to put up with it again.

Since I started this post my husband has been made aware of my post. He has also contacted another company about employment. There are many companies looking to hire him and at this point he is as tired of being screwed around as I am tired of watching him get screwed around.

Monday there should be a major annoucement about his future. He is negotiating his new pay and benefits. The company that screwed him over this time will be outted monday. The company that screwed him before he went to this company will also be outted for thier pay tactics and the way they treated me and my husband when he worked for them too.

I am not only making this post to get my husband paid for the work he does but many people in this business are in the same boat. It's sad but because of this there could be major changes in this industry as we are speaking to labor attorneys and finding out very interesting information.

So far we have learned:

Signing a contract while waiting for pay is considered signing under duress and the courts normally throw such contracts out. The courts also can charge the employers that do this with non payment of wages and charge the employer the wages and interest.

We also learned that any company that works an employee over 80 hours a week away from home must pay a per diem pay outside of the normal wages and not just cover hotel and meals.

Those two points above are very interesting to us since the last company he worked for seems to think because they forced us into a contract in order to get paid that they are oblivious to further prosecution.

I suggest if these facts fits the way you have treated one of your employees then you should be watching out because we are about to make sure we get paid whats owed us.

As for non-paying-companies being outed. That helps the industry in the end. Prolly good for them too in the long run.

Their intent may of been good, then thay ran out of money??? Or they were assholes.. In anycase, ya need to upfront with those that make your biz work.

When I worked at LikeWhoa back in the day they played the same game with the paychecks getting all fucked up.

The owners of the comapny blamed each other for the issues and at the end of the neither one offered to rectify the suitation for the 4 grand in back pay owned as it came out.

To this day the $4,000 remains unpaid. One of the owners left the biz entirely and the other never bothered to take care of things, yet has his own adult design business today with most of the old LikeWhoa crew working there.

Luckily, I got a new gig and things are better but it still sucks for all when adult crews think that they can have people work for them and not take care of their responsibilites to the employees that have families.

Not paying people for the time worked is wrong. At least have the decency to tell them to get other forms of employment.

Hey Pissedwife. I've read this whole thread. You should be careful about some information you are giving out here. Stating terms of contract and stuff. I know these guys will be aware of it but if they see this, then you out them they are more than likely gonna use up your post and not pay at all.

Just be careful what you say until you are ready to out the company. Hope you get it sorted out.
