I am sorry to hear about all of that. I hope that they pay him, and hope that he isn't too upset. I know you are mad. Hell hath no furry like a pissed wife!
Please keep in mind, that he feels like the provider, and that if he cannot provide you are starting to be upset with him and step into places that he does not want you to, that you may be making him feel very small.
