    The New Bird

    My parents spent the day on systems training at the Bluebird factory.

    Tonight they're sitting in the factory's RV lot in their new bus. Should have some interior shots tomorrow. Sorry if I bore you but I'm stoked.


    It almost matches my dad's Explorer (sitting off to the left) that will get towed behind it

      not to crazy about the colors...but damn...i wouldn't mind going around the country in luxury...

              It's not a parking lot. It's an RV park with nice paved pads to put the bus on.

                  That would look nice sitting at my spot in the infield at Atlanta Motor Speedway in October... Can I borrow it?

                      haha.. if you'd seen the other choices.. this one is the best. They use the same 4 colors in different schemes for all of them at this point. Thought the one with the most red (maroon) would be better than having it mostly deep green or tan. No blue or purrple

                                                  It's not a bus conversion. It's a Bluebird coach. We got to pick a chose many options, but it's not custom like converting a bus like what Prevost does.

                                                  This one with the options, etc now goes for about $380K.

                                                                      This one has a satellite dish. I know they'll get DirectTV with it and there's something that roams for regular tv channels too. Not sure if it'll do broadband or not. My dad sent the pic through his Sprint phone off his laptop.

                                                                                  March I was in Atlanta for the race. This guy and his wife pull in in someting very similar to the one your parents have (and brand new) and set up shop. About half way through the race they decide to leave. The go through the whole process of getting ready to leave (even get out the book on some things) and then they pull out.

                                                                                  Only problem is the forgot the awning. We yelled and jumped up and down but they did not see us. They finally relized what was going on as they tore the awning off on the side of another guys rig.

                                                                                      In a parking lot today, this car goes by me this a tall iced latte sitting on the roof. About the time it started to slide off another car passes the other direction. I was honking, etc behind the car.

                                                                                      Welp.... the woman started to turn to the right, the latte slide off and right into the drivers window of the other car.

                                                                                              This isn't really related, but once in Melbourne city I saw a cattle truck going through an intersection... one of the cows starts peeing, and the stream just happened to be lined up exactly with a gap in the side slats. So this truck has piss shooting out onto the parking lane side. On the other side of the intersection was a parked car....................with the driver's side window open, and a guy sitting there.

                                                                                                  That monster is huge. It looks like it's about to open it's mouth and swallow that explorer for a snack.

                                                                                                  Are they already making plans to go to a dozen different places ? I'm excited for them.

                                                                                                      They're gonna hang around the Southern states for a couple of weeks to shake it the new machine. That was if there's any problems they're near the plant to get it corrected. Then they'll travel cross-country back to Washington state. They already have some summer trips figured out.
