March 1996 as well. I was in grade 8. I signed up for some Geocities space. Back them, they approved the accounts manually. Two weeks later, they told me I was approved. I didn't know HTML, so I printed up a basic tutorial during lunch and read it during math class.
Built my first site that night, a computer game cheat code site.

I know someone who does everything by hand and her sites look like shit.
by hand? you mean you actually made a computer out of supplies found at home?
I remember it was end of 95 in 8th grade. I did the same thing it was a geocities site, that I started and it was for TI-Calcs. Never went anywhere, then I started another one for C++ programs I written and Visual C++ programs I written and it was on xoom then I had some on webjump I believe that was for FFVIII back in '99 I believe or beginning '00 of my senior year. I still have those sites backed up on a zip disc. I also designed my second I high school's website, that kicked ass, at the time. It was funny to run into the original HTML for the sites tho.

"I try to make a habit of bouncing my eyes up to the face of a beautiful woman, and often repeat “not mine” in my head or even verbally. She’s not mine. God has her set aside. She’s not mine. She’s His little girl, and she needs me to fight for her by keeping my eyes where they should be."
1995... i was watching someone try and do it .. and decided I could do it better... so i learned.. started making sites for small companies on the side
Sometime in the summer of '94. Got an account at Hurricane and had a customer at my comic book store build me a website. The guy moved and I had to learn how to update it. Once I learned HTML I realized he had done a really shitty job and redid the site myself.
november of 1994, the doctor i was business administrating for told me 'learn the internet, then teach me' .... so i learned it, then decided time to build a webpage, and read up on how to do it... it was all soooo simple back then.... now if you did it totally by hand it would take you months to do a site...
Some time in '96, I think. I remember getting excited about the new things coming out, like suddenly being able to use colours, and background graphics
Since 1995 maybe 1994 I been web building and designing.
First HTML was in 1994 I believe.
I recall in the tech training school even the teachers scoffed at the idea of the web over taking DTP. Being the outspoken one I went so far as to call one of the instructors Naive and stupid in front of the class and proceeded to tell him exactly its potential.
My final Multi Media presentation was contrived of Penthouse scans and a presentation about the webs potential with porn.
Thats 100% of the truth.
They even humilated me saying I should not have shown my surprise presentation in front of the class without first discussing it with the instructor.
