sometimes I think with the way these companies change their corporate shells, that theres plenty of enron type dealings in the adult industry

Sometimes you cant relate to the name on the check, because the sponcers use another name on the check.

Makes it look better when cashing in a check with the name " College Fuck Fest" written on top

yearh - I have a 2 year old "nexus" of $150 that I couldent cash because the banks have a minimum of $200 with international checks.

But its OK, its my first ever paycheck i got, so I want to keep it

I didn't know this, here banks do not have a minimum for international checks.....i think i have deposited $25-30 check with no problem. Does this $200min apply to other countries as well?

no - it differs from one bank to another, but most of them have a minimum of $200, and then they charge you $35 for it to.
Banks thet have branches in the country where the check is from, usually do it for free, but again; each bank have its own rule

Thats why I was happy about Paypal - as long as it lasted.

I usually get around $1300-1600 a month in 4-5 differnt checks, and it sucks that i have to pay the bank around $100 for cashing it in.

oh, now im rethinking it maybe some smaller banks here have this limit as well. I'm not sure if there's a $35 fee as well,but the bank keeps a 0.4% commision. I hate banks and i think i'm not the only one here.

I dont understand why they need money to cash the checks in ? the customer with the checkbook alreadu paid for the book once, now we have to do it to?

apparently we do...

if you have an $X and you start transfering the money from one foreign bank account to another in different currencies and so on it won't take a lot effort to end up with 0 balance
