Hey, interesting. Sharon does say that " there will be a Palestinian state".

His position in this interview is open minded, and I think that maybe there could be progress... Obviously, any improvement in the conflict will benifit the region, that needs it more than ever.

But terror must stop to be able to negociate... and on both sides!

I know that Asspimple is stoopid ... As he says, it is a FACT !

But I can't figure out how he can breathe or type , at the same time ....

This interview is to suck the dicks of foreign politicians.
Haaretz has an English edition. There will not peace anytime
soon. The terror will not stop so it's easy to make such
statements.

It's just ANOTHER sharade....look we're willing to accomplish
peace...you see it's not us that don't want it.

DynaSpain: Haaretz is one of the 3 biggest newspapers in Israel. As a matter of fact, I came to know this article because it was talked about in the Israeli TV channel 1, channel 2 and channel 10 news - that is about 100.00% of the newschannels in Israel.

You are in a way hinting its something to be said to the outside only. I am just quoting a very recent interview where sharon is repeating some of the things he said several times before - only difference is, that now its more "concentrated" and - more importantly so, translated to english

I read the article deep enough. I know what is said there and as a citizen of that state - I know much more about the meaning of what is written there. I read it and its very nice words. Music to my ears to be precise.

I only hope that you are wrong and peace is much more "achievable" than your you skeptically view. Believe me - its easy to fall into skepticizm. Israelis are force to on a regular basis. All we can hope is that one day spepticizm will fail

My hint in that direction was because of more reasons. Sharon
is about to go the US to discuss the roadmap for peace in the
middle east.

That roadmap made by the US, EU, Russia and the United
Nations contains a palestinian state in 2003 and in 2005
it should be completed by a complete palestinian state
complete with defenitive borders.

Sharon will never give up the settlements which are fundemental
for the Isrealian state. Again I hope it will be different and that
I'm wrong.....but this just smells too much like a publicity stunt
that looks nice in the current events.

Peace cannot be accomplished without any terrorist attacks both
parties know that. There are too many people that don't accept
any of the consessions and nobody can control these groups.

Yes I truly hope you are right....and yes I'm sceptical I guess
after all what has happened and been promised I don't believe
in it anymore....at least not on a short term. I also think Sharon
is not the person that will be the one who will Lead the Isrealis
to peace.....as neither would Arafat for the palestinions.

No, I don't like to read your post because it is a very stupid post.
I brought forward an article which is interesting and all you had to spit out is something about a group of people you don't know anything about and for sure know nothing about what they want or stand for. not to mention the fact that the article at hand stands in great contrast to what you wrote and especially since the person being interviewd is A: the elected prime minister of Israel who was elected by the majority of Israelis (excluding me ) and B: which renders your post stupid - He is the representative of the right wing of Israel.

I was not aware of the role of Russia and EU in the roadmap. Check the facts again.

Apparently that is true. Peace while terrorism rages is impossible. Now not only Israel say so - now people like you believe so as well. Lets not get into the discussion about that please.

The same was said about Menahem Begin (The Likud leader who brough peace with Egypt). I do not give a flying fuck who will bring peace - as long as it is brough upon us. Arafat is on the final steps of being pushed out. My only hope is that the new government of Abu Mazen will be the fundamental change many were hoping for in the Palestinian authority and the palestinian psychic in general.
