i for one wouldn't use this at all w/ any of our paysites... don't ever offer trials, its $29.95 or nothing..!

So you are saying give access to everyone that wants it, with no verification at all. God damn, you will be in jail almost instantly. Giving access to shitloads of hardcore porn to 10 year olds. Just just of it Mmmmmmmmmmmm!

They have for months.

PayAsYouClick could be used to give "nearly free" trials of any length over ten minutes, to an existing paysite that you are selling subscriptions to. The member area could be protected by whatever processor you wanted, PayAsYouClick would just do the trial.

If you made the trial over 50 cents, it would only be available to PayAsYouClick account holders who had already topped up their account with real money (rather than the $2 signup bonus). That proves they've got a credit card and are prepared to use it, but they don't have to put the card number into your site for the trial - major barrier overcome there.

Then if they like the trial, and they see you're not scamming, they'll pay for your subscription through CCBill etc.

Of course, this is only any good if your content is good enough for them to want to sign up once they've seen it. If you're relying on people not being fast enough to cancel, we wouldn't be any help.
