    Just saw it again, it is the movie that has "touched" me the most.

                  the curb sammich scene was a bit harsh...and so was the force anal love in the shower...but other than that, was a great flick...

                          American History X kicks ass. Get ready for a flood of people who are going to say "See Romper Stomper instead. It's the REAL thing!" There's about 10 people on here who are "above" American History X and slip this in every single time the movie comes up.

The perfomances are good, except for that black guy in the laundry room that shows Derek the evil of his ways. I can't believe they didn't rewrite that part, get a new actror or something. The unbelievability of that character amplified the cheesy Hollywood ending, for me.


                                                                                                          Do I have to admit Romper Stomper is the superior flick? That would put me in agreement with Joe Sixpack for the second time in two days. Help.

                                                                                                                      One of my favorite all-time movies. The saddest part of it is the reality of it; people like that living with us.

                                                                                                                      It does a great job of showing how racism is born and how it can affect people -- and the stupidity of hatred.

                                                                                                                      The curb scene was powerful but for me, it was the end of the movie that affected me the most.

                                                                                                                              The proper name for the curb technique is called "The Berkerly Stomp".

                                                                                                                                      If anything the movie doesn't touch on any reasons why racism is bad besides "hate begets hate."

                                                                                                                                      If anything this film makes a case for racism because the facts that are brought up about "border jumpers" and the crime rates of negros, etc are indeed the facts.

                                                                                                                                      I loved the part where the jew teacher makes the comment that the jews have been persecuted for 5000 years. Look at where jews are now? They completely control major industires like entertrainment, law, banking and of course anything involving finance. .

                                                                                                                                      Interesting points to make in a movie trying to say that negros got it bad due to cultural bias.

                                                                                                                                      But, the movie never touches on the fact that racism is fundamentally evil because it prejudges someone's value based upon meaningless outward appearances. People can only be judged individually because thats what everyone is (black or white or whatever). Racism is merely the focus on race - which is of course just another horrible collectivist concept.

                                                                                                                                      So, due to that complete disregard for the real issue. Its a thumbs DOWN.
