Sure that happens alot, some badly designed sites do great, alot of amateur are this way, but most of the time, notta. We have alot of older amateur sites coming to us know to do a re-design in the new Longer page tour concept.

Shit, look at, 1 of our sextoy stores, been around for 5 years or so, www.safesexmall.com

Looks old, etc but it converts like gangbusters for customers, easy design, lots of products, etc. Webmasters might think, www.safesexmall.com/money is old, which it is, but it's been paying for years

hmm. i guess i'm just wondering why the conversion is not more tightly attached to the cost of design. if someone could half my current conversion ratio on my current traffic, i wouldn't be paying them 1500, or 5000. I'd be paying 25K or 50K.

and it has zero to do with what it might look like, it only has to do with one thing: conversion using my content. anyway...

if any of you remember... exploitedteens.com was probably the best converting site EVER, which started this non traditional tour trend... in my opinion, regular tours by regular designers which follow the ARS style or maxcash style simple does not allow the site to separate itself from all of the million others...

I hear you man, shit what can I say.

I mean we can't guarentee any sort of conversions you know. It's just too tough to do. The design plus traffic / exposure = signups, well too much exposure or an old design can be bad too

Sure there are some ppl that will say we guarentee this and that when we do your design, we will keep changing it till it converts at 1 / 750 or 1/1000 or whatever. We at webinc.com after doing hundreds and hundreds of designs for the big boys and girls, and the small pretty much know our shit. That is why the approval process is so important with us. After each page, the clients approves, makes changes, etc.

We'd be happy to give 1 of your sites a shot sometime.

I think a lot of surfers do not trust porn sites to give their credit card number and a nice clean design helps a lot there.

Also branding is important too.

When I design I go for conversions, The surfers want to see sex they dont want to see little lines and lens flares all over the images. If they did they would not be looking at porn.

But the site has to look good and professional on the other hand or webmasters wont push it.

Lets say you have two sites you know nothing about except for its appearance,

One looks like shit but converts at 1/100

The other one looks like a piece of fine art that you could look at for hours because it looks so good but it converts at 1/2500.

Most webmasters are going to try the one that looks good just for that reason, it looks better.

As a designer you have to fine that line between looking good to attract webmasters yet get good conversions from it. That comes with experience and listening to established program owners.

My best converting "design" was a single image and lots of text.

but I do seo, so everything I do is lots of text. I have no idea how one of those all graphical sites convert.
