I know sponsors shave. That's just part of the business. I don't trust ANY sponsor.
But there should be some level of effort required for them to shave -
CCBill has made it far too easy for the typical sponsor to shave on a MASSIVE scale. Making this info available would level the playing field somewhat.
I have personally already moved part of my traffic to non-CCBill sponsors.
And yes, I am thinking seriously for the first time about starting my own program - the only thing holding me back right now is concern about obscenity laws. I was actually surprised at how easy it is to start up a pay site! So maybe it's inevitable - I'm making decent money referring traffic, but maybe the only way to go to the next level is to open my own pay site.
