well you know dolphins have sonar,they can detect the mines from about 2 miles away... Any solid object that they know shouldn't be there,they alert the trainer and then swim to the object and drop a bowie next to it..Then they blow it up... TA-DACashTheChecks.com -coming soon-

no, but they can capture enemy divers.... they're trained to jam up to a diver with this thing that fits over their nose, and when they bump into their leg, it shackles/cuffs the diver, and sends a marker up to the surface so we can pick his ass up.... true stuff.Originally posted by psyko514

The use of dolphins can closely be compared to K9 units in police roles.
INstead of the dogs sense of 'smell' the dolphin is prized because of its 'sonar'.
Equally respected, well cared for, and most certainly missed and remembered when they fall.
I can remember seeing groups of 30+ LAPD crying when a 10 or 20 year K9 officer was shot during a drug deal on night, big news in LA, said that dog had caught more bad guys than some 10 year human officers.
I dont think its a bad thing.
