PornCash Gone?

Is it true, Porncash has officially closed it's doors? (or so says the official email I received minutes ago)
The reason they quoted, "Banking problems".

Hmm, could it be that another company has been bitten by the charge card industry that is starting to get tired of the high charge-backs which have become common place in this industry....

Got 2 emails from them saying it. I believe it since they advertised a "free trial" and had fine print where you would be charged a $1.95 transation fee.

Over the last 3 years Porncash has grown into one of the largest webmaster
programs in the world, all along it has been a struggle to maintain
banking relationships. Unfortunately due to the aggressive action taken by
some card associations Porncash will cease to operate today.

All final webmaster payments have been dispatched.

Login for stats will still function for a short time so you can review
what we have paid you over the last few years, but all websites will be
removed very soon.

I must say at this point that all of us at Porncash are immensely
disappointed. We built a business worth in the order of 50 million dollars
and worked very hard to keep it going. In the end we have lost the lot
because of a break down in what should be the most fundamentally stable
part of any business - the ability to bank money from customers.

We are all working on a terrific new web based business that will be
released in a few weeks, and those of you that we think might be able to
assist us with promotions will be contacted in due course.

they had a $1.95 transaction fee, and they billed people $40 after 30 minutes, and didn't give them their promised "free DVD" until after they were rebilled, per their terms.

I still wonder how webmasters can promote absolute crap like this. I couldn't meet a person on the street and reach into their pocket and take their money. So why in the adult industry is it alaright to scam and steal...and then call it "good conversions".

I personally will cheer the day that VISA shuts down all of the scamming scum out there.

Bank robbers that know what they are doing often make off with hundreds of thousands of dollars. Why would another variety of thief (spammers) be any less successful.

Bottom line to you deluded spammers: You are costing US corporations billions of dollars. US Corps OWN the US Govt. Anything that costs US Corps that kind of money WILL be stopped. Wait for it.

Next time you are at a store, or at a party or at a friends....tell the person you are talking to that you have a free gift for them. They will most likely say thanks. Now, when they are not looking, reach into their pocket and steal their money.

Or go to Costco. Have one of their free snacks. At the end of the month, when your credit card bill arrives, you find that Costco put in a hidden scanner that zapped your credit card as you exited the store and charged you $39.95 for the "free" sample. And, by the time you get the statement, the next month has already been set to rebill for another $39.95.

Or go to your local tool rental place and rent a Drill for 3 days. When you go back at the end of 3 days, you find out that you really had to return it after 2 days. So now you get to pay for a full month.

Would any of you useless scum put up with any of the above treatment and not scream bloody murder. Then why the hell do you think this is acceptable just because you are in the "adult industry".

Oh whatever...just don't move to our part of town...we don't want you here.

To offer the type of free trials and rebills that Porncash did, requires the full knowledge and full cooperation of the payment processor. In other words, the big biller is simply trying to deflect.

I just hope that this is just the beginning of a MASSIVE clean-up and shutdown of many of the crooked players in this industry.

Backov...on that note...I have looked at your Bikini Voyeur site and would love to send some traffic your way....but last time I checked, the program uses one of my pet peeves...the trial that needs to be cancelled 24 hours before the end of trial.

Does the trial "really" need to be cancelled 24 hours prior to end of trial? Or is this not enforced? And if you tell me that cancellations are accepted right until the last minute, then believe me..I will do a test sign-up to ensure this is correct before sending a single click.

As always, I agree to disagree. It all comes down to I don't associate the "surfer" as just a faceless number, somewhere on the end of a modem. To me the surfer is the person that I said hello to at the market...or shot the shit with at a party. I wouldn't scam them in person..so I won't scam them on the net.

Everyone always brings up book clubs, cd clubs, Enron, etc...those other industries that most people consider to be skating on the edge....thankfully the other 99.9% of society doesn't run this way, although some of you may think it does.
