I still need help coming up with a catchy thread title. I think the war references may take away from the relevance of the title.
I suppose it largely depends on the deal I offer, huh? If I offer true exclusive, or exclusive except for my sites, that's something to work in. Mentioning that it's custom would help, too.
What else should be in there? The "I want a Canon EOS-D10" factor? The begging factor? What do you think will work the best? ;)

You're thinking macrocosmic, I'm thinking micro; if this thread preceeds your next thread, and one was to refer to this thread beforehand, on a microcosmic scale, this thread would be premodern. In the sense that your new thread based off of this thread would be modern at the point of posting.

The thing is, I don't want to sell all rights, and basically give up my copyright. I want to be theoretically able to use my photos in print, art galleries, cd liners, etc. Web-exclusive I could do, but totally exclusive I'm not so sure about. Letting them be the only person who can use them for 6 months, or a year, after which I can use but not sell web rights would be cool.Originally posted by Brujah

If it helps, you might try to view it as work for someone else. All you're doing is taking some pictures for someone else. It's not the same as content you've already shot or will be shooting for yourself. I post a heck of a lot more about other things than I do about being broke. The thing is, it worked once to have such a sale, so why the hell not.
If you're curious about what I do... I run a small group of unique goth softcore paysites. I do the whole business myself. I also have a very small content operation, based on the photos I shoot myself.

Here's my idea for the deal... Might as well use this thread to perfect the deal, as well as come up with the thread title...
75 semi-exclusive (4 sales plus me only) sets
That is over 7500 images
Current Value: $2500
As individual sets: $6630+
My next 14 available sets (also semi-exclusive).
That is 989 images
Current value: $1000
As individual sets: $1260
So far, the total value is $7890 as individual sets. At the very best rates of discounts I have ever offered, it is worth $3500. I will sell it for $3000 even.
However, to make it an even 90 sets, I will throw in a custom exclusive set as well. You can choose from the models I am shooting with this spring, creating a set of your own devising within reason, and the model's boundaries. (You get web-exclusive rights, I retain copyright for print, portfolio, and personal non-web use.)
I am also open to orders for any available sets, including the 14 upcoming sets. I will also discuss custom exclusive or semi-exclusive sets on an individual basis.
