A Scam that I almost fell for:

About 2 years ago I come home one night and I go and check my answering machine for new messages, I listen to the following message:

"Hey whats up Mike, it's me Richard I was hoping you would pick up the phone because I hate leaving confidential information on answering machines, but im at the airport leaving to China for business and thats one long flight, tomorrow is the day to buy the company we spoke about they have some major news they are about to release, I ask you not to tell any of your friends because it can get us all into trouble as a reminder the ticker symbol is... buy in confidence as many shares as you can, i'll call you once im in China.

Now I hear this message it did sound like he is in an Airport and he was caughing etc. making it sound like its a real message but I am not Mike, so im sitting at home all excited that I just got some serious stock tip simply by someone making a wrong number.

A few hours later a friend that knows nothing about the stock market calls me all excited, he tells me someone just fucked up and left him a confidential stock tip on his voice mail and hes going on and on how he knows a guy that became a millionaire from one stock tip blah blah blah.

I calm him down saying it's bullshit the message he got and I play him the message I got and they are exactly the same!

The guy def. got some fish because the next day the stock really went up, today that company is not anywhere on the stock market.

But he used one of those autodialers I guess to call tons of people with a pre-recorded message that sounded pretty real.

One of the best ones would have to be this from Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels:

You take out an advert in the back page of some gay mag advertising the latest in ass intruding dildos. You sell it with, I don't know, does what no other dildo can do until now, the latest and greatest in sexual technology, guaranteed results or your money back, all that bollocks. Now, these deals cost twenty five quid a pop, and that's a snip for the amount of pleasure they're going to give the recipients. But they send there cheques to the other company name, nothing offensive, err, Bobby's Bits or something. You take that twenty five quid and stick it in a bank until it clears. Now this is the smart bit. You send back the cheque for twenty five pound from the other company name, uh... Ass Ticklers Faggots Fanclub, saying we're sorry but we couldn't get the supplies from America because they ran out of stock. Now you see how many people cash that cheque. Not a single soul. Because who wants their bank manager to know they tickle ass when they're not paying in cheques?

Heres a small one that may work. You have to find an overworked cashier though.

Happened to me by accident. I did'nt take the money because Im a nice person.

I went into 7-11 and bought a coke. All I had was a $100 bill.

To get the correct change, the cashier has to open up a seperate compartment, or dig up cash from benieth the drawer.

I was making small talk to her while she tried to count out the correct amount to herself. It kept messing her up...Finally she got it right, and handed me the change.

The weird part was that she never took my initial $100

My parents have lived off of Amway for almost 20 years now. They've got a big business and from what I've seen, it's not a scam...just a different business model. What they "preach" does work, but it's 1:1,000,000.

They're online now. And it's called Quixtar. They don't even mention that Amway name anymore. The methods are still the same though.

Funniest two scams I've seen were mail order scams.

1. Get the new Instant Fly Killer! $19.95 works every time!

The package shows up in the mail and its two wood blocks one has an A on it and the other a B. The instructiosn read;
"Place fly on block A and hit with block B".

2. A guy put an ad in the paper sayin, "Send me one dollar and I'll send you nothing". Really! Guy made several thousand dollars from it.

You need to do it with a friend.
Go to RadioShack or something at late evening or night.
Have you buddy near expensive shit cheking out DVD players etc. while you go to the mens room. When in the mens room, stick a paper clip into power outlet (make sure the clip is metal, not plastic one). Now you have a short-sercuit and there is complete darlness in the store. Your buddy grabs all the shit he can and runs out the store to his car and races away. You take the clip out (with rubber glove) and walk casually out of the store.
