I largely agree. Sometimes it is more the lifestyle than the money. It is true also offline. Many small business owners make less actual NET than some of their employees! So why contiinue? It's the "lifestyle" and you might even say "security" as strange as it sounds. Your own hours, unlimited growth potential, your own boss, etc.
But different it can be if you have kids to feed or some other such constrant where a certain amount of money is needed to live that you just aren't getting with self employment. Then you do what you must ... and probably hate it.
