50k and only 86 signups today? wtf?

hmm

This is defying all laws of physics here!

I sent 50k to a gallery promoting ebony, the traffic was from 3 paid spots, as well as 3 VIP submit accounts i have, and a bunch of smaller TGP's.

50k to the gallery

709 to the sponsor

and only 68 signups?

wtf?

i think he's complaining about the click-thru rate on the gallery. 50k hits, and only 709 clicked thru to the sponsor.

the ratio is 1:9 but thats not what im complaining about ...

Doing my math i see it this way ...

50k to the gallery ...
5% CTR = 2,500
1:9 = 277 signups

I SHOULD have gotten 277 signups (based on my math) which is why i didnt mind dishing out the bucks for the spots.

I need to correct this FAST before anymore traffic comes and i waste it.

the first mistake is pushing a email sponsor from a tgp gallery

email should be your last ditch effort to get a sale

btw 5% clickthru is pretty good

Whats the interest in that gallery? They've already hit your site from a free site, I imagine they'll just close the gallery and scroll down for more.

Promote something unique, or atleast put some unique text there.

the problem is that you need to Maximize your CTR,

your not gonna get alot of clicks so its better to send it
to a say $35 sponsor,

say on the average if you convert 1:250 it'll come out better than email sponsor

send the traffic to a FPA from the gallery then add exit to email sponsor if they don't click on the FPA

thats how you maximize your traffic

Who only pays .80 per email? BTW he has an in between page so you can expect higher conversion rates. But it you lose some surfers so your CTR is lower.

i have this domain hosted on revsharehosting (for free) and they take $0.20 per signup on this sponsor. ($5 on other sponsors) per signup.

Good point with the inbetween page though, i bet if i remove it i will see a better CTR, yet a lower ratio ... but might work out better for me.

Nothing wrong with the layout, after all it is just tables. My I suggest this, remove that banner and in its place explain what the site is about. This way the text will load first and they get a chance to read it before the Pics load. Also, surfers dont like the word FREE, when they see free they think POP UPS. Why, because when this email thingy came out every one and his mother was pushing it with TGP. CLICK HERE FOR FREE...pop up hell.

Gees , I keep coming back to edit my FREE explination, lol. You could mention FREE when , say the site has a free video sample but dont tell them the membership is free, from my expirence they dont trust that

Or you could just buy a gallery template

#1 i think they are very graphics heavy pages

#2 i find simple templates work better (IMO)

#3 i dont like to wait 4 weeks for the template after i order it (not giving names, heh)

Free Tip #1 - The eye moves from left to right, not up and down. Think about that for awhile

Free Tip #2 - Don't ever buy traffic for a gallery that you haven't tested yet. Get as much "free" traffic as you can to a template, so you'll know roughly how much $$ you make per 100K hits to the gallery. Then you can look at traffic prices and have an idea of what your profit (or loss) would be if you paid for spots.

And, in response to a tip above about how people read ads....they do read left to right, but there is more to it then that...the actual pattern is:
